Hotel EXCELSIOR enjoys a central location in the pedestrian zone between Munich’s main train station and Karlsplatz (Stachus).

For guests arriving by car, several parking facilities are available in close proximity to the hotel. To reach us, please use Bayerstraße and the southern part of Bahnhofsplatz to access Schützenstraße. After unloading your luggage and checking in, you can easily turn around and proceed to one of the nearby parking garages. The most convenient option is the Elisenhof Parking Garage (Luitpoldstraße 3, 80335 Munich), located just 150 meters from the hotel.

From Munich's main train station, you have access to a wide range of public transportation options, allowing you to reach every corner of the city quickly and comfortably.

All S-Bahn lines (S1 to S8) stop directly at the station, providing easy access to destinations such as the airport and surrounding areas.

In addition, the U-Bahn lines U1, U2, U4, U5, U7, and U8 ensure excellent connections to key locations in Munich – from Marienplatz and the Olympiapark to the Messe. The network is further complemented by a dense system of trams and buses that depart directly in front of the station.

To reach the airport, simply take either S-Bahn line S1 or S8 – from hotel check-out to the check-in counter at the airport, it takes just over an hour.
